Squarespace Background Image Effects

Parallax is back in Squarespace 7.1 with Image Effects, plus more options!

Currently there are 7 Different Squarespace Image effects:

Liquid
Film Grain
Refracted Lines
Refracted Circles
Tilt
Pan
Zoom

These effects are built using webgl which is just a modern way to render graphics in the browser.

My first impression is that Squarespace seems to have nailed it with this. The effects are smooth, there is a variety to choose from, and they work on mobile. Looking for a parallax effect? Use Tilt. Want an effect that follows your mouse around? Use refracted circles.

My favorite? Refracted Lines.

Feature request: Add a way to adjust the strength of these effects.
